Personal Chef (independent contractor, part-time)

Overall responsibility -  The personal chef will prepare a week’s worth of organic vegan meals in the client’s kitchen in one cooking session.  The personal chef will work on an as-needed, contract basis and prepare menus provided by Well on Wheels.  Travel, the ability to work independently and efficiently, and some heavy-lifting are required.  

Key tasks  -  Prepare food according to client’s tastes and employer’s standards by following vegan menus and recipes provided by Well on Wheels.  Shop for groceries, cook food in client’s home, package meals in appropriate containers, and clean kitchen upon completion of each assignment. 
    Experience -  Professional experience working in a restaurant, catering or commercial kitchen, as well as training in culinary arts, is desired.  A home chef who has developed a taste for healthy vegan food and knowledge of the latest trends in vegan cooking is also important.
